Commitment to the environment

At Porta Hotel del Lago we are committed to the care and conservation of our environment and we invite you to contribute to this cause. In your room you may leave the towels on the shelf if you if you wish to reuse them o leave them on the floor so they will be changed. By doing this, you are contributing to a daily reduction in use of water, detergent and energy consumption.

Water

You will find two bottles of water in your room; water from the tap is not entirely potable. Additional bottles of water can be requested at the bar or restaurant.

Luggage storage

We will gladly store your luggage. If you need this service please contact Front Desk.

Housekeeping

If you require any additional service, please contact Housekeeping.

Please place the card that indicates “Please clean room” outside your door if you want housekeeping before noon.

Toiletries

You will find them on the bathroom shelf or next to the sink in your room.

Medical attention*

We have 24 hour medical service. If you need medicine, the drug store will deliver it to the hotel. Please contact Front Desk.

Banks

Most banks in the system have branch offices in the city. Please contact Front Desk.

Safety deposit box

The hotel has safety deposit boxes; please request one at the Front Desk.

Currency exchange

Available at Front Desk. We accept US Dollars and Euros.

Business Center*

Located in the hotel lobby. This service is available daily from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. We offer fax, photocopier, multimedia projector, Internet access among other services.

Los Volcanes Club

Offers our guests and members gym, Jacuzzis, sauna, heated pool and ping pong and football tables. Daily from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Ice

Please request from Room Service.

Wireless Internet*

Available in the lobby and meeting rooms. Contact Front Desk.

Laundry*

In the closet in your room, you will find a bag and a laundry list. Please fill it out and leave it on the bed next to the bag with the items that need laundering before 9:00 am. Your clothes will be returned the same day. Dry cleaning is available in Laundromats outside the hotel; please call the Front Desk if you require this service.

Wake- up call

Please contact Front Desk the night before indicating the time you wish to be awakened.

Parking

We have an ample parking lot located beside the hotel.

Lost and Found

We will hold all lost and found items for a month. Please contact Housekeeping.

Newspaper

Copies of the most important newspapers in the country are available in the hotel’s restaurant.

Iron and board

You may request them from Housekeeping.

Privacy

Please place the “Do Not Disturb” card on your door for privacy.

Available from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm. Please contact Front Desk.

Hairdryers

All rooms in the hotel have a hairdryer in the bathroom.

Airport Shuttles*

Service available to and from the airport in Guatemala City. Prior reservation at Front Desk is required.

Recreation

Kid's Club

Open Saturdays from 10:00 to 9:00 pm, Sundays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and holidays from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. We have qualified staff to entertain little ones while you enjoy our facilities. We also have a playground in the upper platform of the restaurant.

Pools and gardens

We offer a solar energy heated pool. We do not have lifeguards on duty; you enjoy the pool at your own risk. Swimsuit is required. Open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Enjoy a large variety of trees, plants, and tropical flowers in the hotel gardens.

Massages*

The sensation of satisfaction, wellbeing and plenitude will be unequaled after enjoying our massage services. They may be requested at the Front Desk. Transport yourself to a new mental state enjoying our menu of 60 to 90 minute massages (relaxing and therapeutic).
