On the highlands of Guatemala, in the picturesque department of Sololá, is Lake Atitlán, 147 kms. from Guatemala City.
Its original name was Hotel del Lago, and it became part of the Porta Hotels chain in June of 2001. Porta Hotel Del Lago is located in Panajachel and fits perfectly next to the three majestic volcanoes, Atitlán, Tolimán and San Pedro, and colorful and picturesque towns which can be reached by boat or land.

The spectacular landscape gives the impression of an immense garden without comparison. Panajachel’s main street, called Santander, houses hundreds of little establishments where artisans, weavers and vendors offer their many products, which they take from nearby villages to offer to all the visitors to this important town, where there is always something to do.

Currently Porta Hotel Del Lago offers 10 suites, 36 deluxe rooms and 54 standard rooms, restaurant with exquisite national and international cuisine, bar, poolside snack bar, 2 natural sulfur water Jacuzzis, sauna, pool, gym, art gallery, kid’s club with entertaining programs for our youngest guests, business center and wireless Internet in al public areas, among other services.

At Porta Hotel del Lago we have developed different service plans and we are pioneers in Guatemala in the “All Inclusive” program, a system in which the guest does not worry about additional expenses because they are included in the rate. We also have the traditional plans for room and dining.
